Every year we Americans celebrate the 4th July with fervour. Why not celebrate our nations independence with a grand party for your friends, family and neighbours? See my 4th July party ideas below:
1. Your party must start in advance with invitations. Send them out on mini American flags, either in the post or hand delivered. Get plenty in because you need them for the party!
2. State loud and clear on your invitations that if anybody turns up not wearing red, white and blue they will be charged on the door!
3. Consider hiring out a pavillion in your local park has them!
4. Get some face paints so the kids can paint American flags on each others faces.
5. Line the walkway to your house with mini American flags.
6. Every American should have a large flag. Make sure it's in a prominent position.
7. Get some squirt guns and fill them with blue or red water. Have two teams and have a fun game.
8. If your party is going on until later, make sure you get some red, white and blue fireworks.
9. The food should of course be all American. Begin with watermellon and have a seed spitting contest.
10. You should have a BBQ whether you have hired a pavillion or not. Burgers, sausages and chicken etc.
11. Bake a cake and use strawberries and and blueberries for the stars and stripes.
12. Make red and blue gelatin deserts. Also, any 4th July party should have apple pie as a mandatory inclusion.
13. Arrive dressed as Captain America. Failing that, how about one of Americas founding Fathers. Cause a riot by turning up as a British Redcoat!
